We’re headed for a day at the Canyon. The Grand Canyon is so beautiful and vast, it’s difficult to capture in pictures. You’ll have an opportunity for some hiking, exploring the rim with beautiful views and not requiring strenuous activity. You could even bring a book, sketch pad or some homework and just enjoy the beauty of the views from seating areas inside and out.

This trip requires reservations by Monday, Oct 24 and a $10 fee which covers transportation and entry to the park. You’ll be able to grab free bagels, fruit and coffee at the Campus Ministry Center, and pack a PBJ lunch. Space is limited due to transportation. Limit 12

We’re heading up to Snowbowl for the spectacular fall colors among the Aspen trees. This is really more of a rocky walk than a challenging hike, but it feels GREAT to be outdoors. Limit 10, but if we have more interest we’ll schedule some additional time slots. Connect with other college students and the beautiful outdoors and fresh air. A good time to put the phone away except for some pictures, and be fully present to the connections with others, your thoughts and the wonder and beauty of nature! Sunday Worship, Dinner and Conversation

Faith & Life Flyer (5).png

We are hoping that by mid October that the COVID spread will be back at Moderate spread in our community, and we can begin again with our Sunday worship and dinners. We have a simple and casual worship and sure would love to add music! If you are a musician or would like to help plan and lead worship, let us know, we have some stipends available for music and worship leaders! We also have some stipends available for our Sunday cook/clean up team. Come join us for a Sunday. We like to call our Sunday gatherings, Sanctuary, a place and time to unwind, be fed spiritually, socially and with a tasty meal! We are an inclusive ministry and there is space at our table for She, Him and They! Check back to confirm we are at Minimum Spread by October 17th. #COVIDCautious

Virtual Faith & Life Small group.

Our Tuesdays Faith & Life group will be virtual this semester due to COVID, but as the community spread lessens, we’ll find plenty of opportunities to “meet up” in person. This fall, we’ll engage with The Book of Joy, a conversation between two global faith and moral leaders. The Dalai Lama and Bishop Tutu, both political refugees and global leaders from different traditions, speak from their life experience and faith traditions about cultivating happiness in a changing world, transcending their own traditions to speak from a concern for humanity as a whole. What can we learn about anger, anxiety, hope, and finding joy when there is so much suffering in the world. Regardless of your faith background—your certainty or your doubts—there is wisdom to share, discuss and debate as we each form our own pillars for a meaningful and joyful life. Books will be available if interested, but you can simply join in for the conversation, with many connections. Email us at CMblue@nau.edu from your NAU or CCC email for the Zoom link. Begins September 28th! Led by our campus minister, Rev. Kathleen Day.
